Business Hours

Friday is Jordan’s weekly holiday. You will also find that whilst most banks, government offices and businesses are closed on Saturday, most department stores and supermarkets stay open.

 

Credit Cards

We accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard, and so do many restaurants and large shops. However, if you are purchasing items in smaller shops or the local souks, many of them still prefer cash payments.

 

Language

The official language spoken in the Kingdom is Arabic, but English is widely spoken. All of our staff members speak the English language.

 

Local Time

Winter: October – March (GMT +2)

 

Summer: April – September (GMT +3)

 

Currency

The local currency is the Jordanian Dinar (JD), which is divided into 100 piasters or 1,000 fils. Your currency can be exchanged at major banks and exchange booths. Official exchange rates are set by the Central Bank of Jordan.

 

Electrical Current

220 AC volts, 50 cycles that require rounded two-prong wall plugs. If you need a transformer, please contact housekeeping and we will be happy to provide you with one.

 

Medical Care

Jordan is renowned for its excellent medical services, and most doctors speak both the English and Arabic languages. If you require guidance on receiving medical care, please contact the hotel reception .
